North Face Clothing

0 Comments 03 June 2009

In 1968, two years after an idea was formed on a beach only 150 ft. above sea level in California’s North Beach neighborhood, North Face began to not only sell outdoor clothing, but began designing their own mountaineering clothing. The goal? To supply outdoor adventurers with quality North Face clothing specific to the needs of those seeking a little more from life than a casual stroll.

The very name North Face is in reference to the coldest part of the mountain, where proper clothing and gear isn’t just a look, but a necessity. Hence the half dome logo seen on North Face clothing. In the 80s, North Face took this idea to a whole new level by adding extreme skiwear to the product line. The 90s saw the introduction of the Tekware collection, made with a focus on fit and function for those who spend their time literally climbing to heights of the outdoors in the mountains and extreme hiking trails.  One can only speculate what new developments will occur in the next few decades!

My Reasons to Shop North Face Clothing

  • Live the Brand- North Face has a dedicated plan in place to help the environment by performing specific functions in the manufacturing and distribution of their clothing line. This means that by buying their clothing line, you too are helping to save the very Earth you want to explore! Some specifics of the plan are 100% renewable energy use through offset with wind energy, encouraging land conservation through employee offsets and the creation of the Conservation Alliance Legacy Fund Grant.
  • Technically Superior Specific Products- North Face doesn’t just sell t-shirts and call it good. They are constantly striving to develop and use new technology specific to the needs of the outdoor adventurer. For instance, the Tekware Collection has an entire line of shirts dedicated to rock climbers in their fit and performance.
  • Share the Concept- Let people know you don’t live your life on the couch. You are a modern day explorer who isn’t afraid to play as hard as you work. The very logo on your clothing is enough to let people know you take play time very seriously.

Where to Shop North Face Clothes?

Denver Colorado boasts the latest North Face store, yet they are only one in over 30 stores in the United States, 6 of which are outlet stores located in places like Woodburn, Oregon and Orlando, Florida. But you don’t have to go to North Face stores to buy North Face clothing. They can also be found in stores such as The Sports Authority and Ski World. And if those aren’t enough options, then simplify the whole process by ordering what you need from their online store.
