Element Clothing

0 Comments 08 June 2009

When Johnny Schillereff was picking his things up off the front porch after his dad tossed him out, I’m sure he never thought that he would one day be a part of something as big as Element. He was doing what he loved and his father simply wanted him to get off his skateboard and get a job. Johnny did more than get a job; he took over Underground Element and dropped the Underground in 1992, becoming the sole owner of Element, a company that is all about skateboarding and the health of the environment. Johnny remains the sole owner today and has no fears of anyone throwing his clothes on the porch of his office in Irvine California.

Element Clothing proudly brands everything they make, including their storefronts with the tree logo as their way of reminding the skateboarder clientele they serve that the environment needs to be taken care of. The saying behind the brand “Make it count” says a lot. Element is a simple idea that only asks that you do what you love and do it the best you can while making a positive impact on the world. Not a bad idea at all.

3 Reasons to Shop Element Clothing

If you’re a skater, then you don’t need me to tell you why you should buy from here. The brand speaks for itself and all it represents. But I’m going to assume that maybe you have been on another planet or trapped in a basement somewhere so that maybe you need some information to back up your decision to shop for skater clothes.

  • Make a statement – By brandishing the tree logo of Element Clothing; you aren’t just wearing a brand name for the sake of a brand name. You are part of something…a movement if you will that simply promotes doing what you love and loving the environment as you go along.
  • Skater Support – Wearing this label means you are helping to back some of the greatest skaters of all time as well as up and coming greats.  They have their own team, which recently welcomed skater Levi Brown. Be a part of keeping the freedom of skateboarding alive by offering your support.
  • Elemental Awareness – Support the youth of your community by knowing that some of the profits from this brand go towards Elemental Awareness, a non-profit group focusing on the education and environmental awareness through camps, skate programs and education programs that serve the youth of today.

Where Can You Find Element Clothes?

Element has their own stores located in New York, Sydney and Honolulu, but don’t panic! Element fashion can be found at any reputable shop that sells clothing for board sports. If that still doesn’t make you happy, then you can always go online and order straight from the Element site or from the multitude of online dealers they work with.
