When Johnny Schillereff was picking his things up off the front porch after his dad tossed him out, I’m sure he never thought that he would one day be a part of something as big as Element. He was doing what he loved and his father simply wanted him to get off his skateboard and get a job. Johnny did more than get a job; he took over Underground Element and dropped the Underground in 1992, becoming the sole owner of Element, a company that is all about skateboarding and the health of the environment. Johnny remains the sole owner today and has no fears of anyone throwing his clothes on the porch of his office in Irvine California.
Element Clothing proudly brands everything they make, including their storefronts with the tree logo as their way of reminding the skateboarder clientele they serve that the environment needs to be taken care of.
