Bape Clothing

Comments Off 07 June 2009

The name says it all for this urban hip hop clothing line. Bape, or Bathing Ape, sums up those who want to advertise their masculinity in one word. After all, how much more masculine can you get than being completely primal with style? Founded in 1993 by “Nigo” in Japan, Bape began by simply selling t-shirts. Today, the simplicity of the idea of Bape is seen even in their store fronts, where the face of an ape that looks like he just walked out of the movie “Planet of the Apes” is suspended over the doorway with the encouraging words “Go Ape” next to him.

If you have the idea that being primal is about being dirty and unkempt, you would be wrong. Imagine primal combined with sarcasm and elegance and you have just imagined Bape clothing. While the Bape fashion line is tough enough for any man, it also exudes style and elegance. What woman wouldn’t look twice at a man who can do all that just by getting dressed for the day? And though you may want to be able to look in the mirror and smile, we all know you wouldn’t mind the ego rush of stopping the ladies in their tracks just by walking by.

3 Reasons to Shop Bape Clothing

  • Collector – They limit the amounts they create when they create a new line. This means that every time you purchase a piece, you are actually purchasing a collector’s item. If you don’t believe me, just do some research and try to find an old piece of original Bape clothing.
  • Sensuality – Nothing draws a woman in like confidence and wit all in one. This fashion line lets her know you have both before you even say a word. Guys…this can’t be a bad thing!
  • Unique Style – Since they do run limited lines; you can be assured that you aren’t going to look like every other guy at the party. And who wants to? You want to let the world know you are you, not just another one of the guys. You can do that with this clothing line.

Where Can You Shop Bape Clothes?

There are about 35 Bape stores scattered throughout major cities across the world. Some of the cities that Bape Clothes can be found in are Tokyo, New York, Hong Kong and various other cities throughout the world. Though you may be tempted to shop the online store, if you can I recommend going to the store just for the atmosphere. After all, not every clothing store has a shoe conveyor belt!
